Step-In Afterschool Girls Empowerment Program

The weekly sessions of Step-In provide consistent afterschool programming that have a curriculum focus on self-esteem and confidence building, self-efficacy, social-emotional learning, and health and wellness.

A Strengths-Based Program

Our Pillars

We help girls become the fullest version of themselves through activities, curriculum and engagement focused on these four pillars:

Emotional Well-being

Girls gain understanding in how to regulate and express their emotions to build emotional intelligence and social-emotional skills.

Healthy Relationships

Girls develop essential skills for understanding and fostering healthy relationships with themselves, peers and adults around them.

Physical Well-being

Girls foster independence by gaining a sense of control of their bodies and their capabilities through physical activities.

Community Experiences

Girls expand their horizons, sense of belonging and aspirations through connections to their community and the world around them through experiences.

Our Six-Step Method

These six-steps are vitally important to the success and integrity of Charleston Hope’s Step-In Program Model and are followed daily in our programs.
